First Lady encourages inmates to consume traditional food

The First Lady, Amai Auxillia Mnangagwa took her Cookout Traditional Meal Competition to Marondera Female Open Prison where she encouraged inmates to consume traditional foodstuffs as part of the prison diet as it is nutritious, affordable and fends off diseases.

Amai Mnangagwa who is also the Patron of the Female Open Prison Foundation expressed optimism that after the competition the inmates would venture into different rehabilitation activities that would promote traditional foods  like mufushwa wenyemba, muboora, mudzvurwa, and traditional practices such as kukuya dovi using our traditional equipment like duri and guyo.
