Honourable Ncube tours correctional industries and manufacturing

Minister of Finance and Economic Development Professor Mthuli Ncube toured a motorcycle assembling facility, a joint venture between ZPCS and Angelo Pereira’s Gellos Motorcycles at Harare Central Prison Workshops where he pledged government support to beef up the skills development and income-generating projects.

The project is capable of assembling ten durable, user-friendly, semi-off-road motorbikes per day with a consumption of one litre for every 60 kilometers and a tank capacity of 2.1 litres. The joint-venture will see trainee inmates and officers going for trade test and receiving certificates of competency from the Ministry of Higher and Tertiary Education, Innovation, Science and Technology upon successful completion of the training program
