THE Acting Minister of Justice, Legal and Parliamentary Affairs, Honorable Kazembe Kazembe launched the Peace Education Programme at Chikurubi Maximum Security Prison on 12 February 2021.
Speaking at the launch, Minister Kazembe said “Our hope for implementing this programme is that at the end participants will live in a peaceful and healthy environment where both officers and inmates live in harmony and will be empowered to deal with the inner self challenges”.
Addressing the same gathering, ZPCS Commissioner General Moses Chihobvu said “Peace education has been identified and shall be offered as a Psycho-Social programme that seeks to have both the inmate and officer participate in building up personal peace that will lead to societal harmony”.
